The Bible is a serious subject, but the kids need to know that God likes to see his kids happy and have fun.  My kids had a lot of fun playing with the Bible Games Central games that we got in the mail.  Who doesn’t love happy mail?  We are thankful to have received these quality games full of biblical fun.

Quality Games Full of Biblical Fun

Bible Bingo

I love a good Bingo game, but, there are a million Bible Bingos out there.  I loved the way this one was divided, especially since I am trying to teach my children about the Bible overall.  The card is split into Old Testament and New Testament.  There are also sections for the different kinds of books-gospels and history, letters from Paul, law, prophecy, etc.  These help the children understand the purpose of the book, while the pictures are a great review for what each individual book is about.  We will definitely be using this game for a long while to come!

Bible Memory

The Bible Memory Game had a lot of cards, 2 for each book of the Bible!  That was too many for the girls (ages 7 and 10) to focus on all at once, but I consider that a plus.  You can choose which stories you want to focus on each round.  That keeps the game fresh and new each time!

Parable Parade

My girls loved all the games, as did I, but this one was by far my favorite.  My 10 year old figured out the instructions easily. In this game, you try to earn sets of 4 cards that tell parables.  The first to collect 2 sets is the winner.  On your turn, you turn over cards from the center pile until you get an “Oopsie!” card.  If you get 3 kingdom cards in different colors, you can steal cards from another player.

Each parable had parable cards that told the whole story.  This was very helpful, even for my girls who have been immersed in the Bible since they were born.  There were a couple parables my girls didn’t remember at all.  The cards also helped them remember the ones that they knew, but were less familiar.

Christmas Bingo and Memory Game

The last game I am going to mention, which really works as two games, is Christmas themed.  It’s perfect for this time of year or Christmas in July.  Or, if your kids are like mine, they will probably love it year-round!

The Bingo game had every picture on every card, which is perfect for little ones.  There were not lettered rows at the top so even young kids that don’t know the letters could play.  Pictures from the Bible Christmas story were mixed with secular Christmas traditions.  There were two decks of cars with different colored backgrounds so that the calling cards could also be used for the matching game.

Bible Games Central Provide Quality Games Full of Biblical Fun

If your family loves Biblical games, game night, wants to immerse their children in the Bible and think outside of the box, or even wants to give quality games full of biblical fun to the children’s ministry at your church, check out these quality games. They are recommended for ages 6 and up, but the Bingo and Matching games could be played by younger children with a little assistance. As I said, my ten year old enjoyed them too. They are sturdy, have adorable illustrations, and get to the heart of what matters-Jesus. You can find them here, and I hope you do! There are some free Christmas games too!

What are your favorite Bible-based games?
